"CONFIANCE" The Highway to Confidence

This is a recap to the 2023 exhibition with the title "CONFIANCE"at Feral Art & Vin in Bordeaux. Back then it was my 2nd year in France and I reflected on the change of level of confidence. Read and be inspired to not leave the country haha.
The struggle of leaving the country
Living in bordeaux is fun and widened my horizon. I now speak french fluently and I am this crazy girl who makes everyone drink Schnaps on daytime. Nevertheless it was a hard take for me to move out of my country - even when I did it voluntarily - and it affected my level of confidence.
I did not speak the language and it took me a long time to transfer my humour into french. On top of that: the tyrolean humour - a very special kind and not easily to understand for the outer world I figured haha.
As I am a master in finding comfort in the most difficult situations, leaving my home was the perfect training ground to bring this feeling to the canvas in order to make people feel comfortable and seen when they see my artwork.
The highway to confidence?
I guess in life we will always have moments where we feel more or less confident. When we have a surrounding that is supporting us and sees beyond our vision before we do, this gives confidence. Being blessed with solid roots, health and heritage, this gives confidence. Simply telling yourself who you are and how amazing you are gives you confidence. It comes down and back to remember your base and life will come with ease from this point on.
Remember yourself and your source.
The work I do is to bring this source to visibility. This is so cool as we often forget who we are and then we remember and what would happen if we'd never forget and always remember? What would happen if you'd have a portrait of YOUR source on the wall?
This is the highway to confidence.
What I artistically manifested from this
Moving my brushstrokes on my canvas like water is moving through countries, forming and shaping the surrounding. When you leave your comfort zone you grow and people grow with you and this is a gift.
